The M/V Nordic Bremen was successfully delivered on the 11th of October 2011. The Nordic Bremen is a 1000-TEU container ship, and the last in a series of five vessels ordered by Nordic Hamburg Shipping and under management by Nordic Hamburg Shipmanagement. The vessel is of a high and modern specification, and have the highest ice class.
Following the delivery in China the vessel loaded a number of barges as deck cargo for Europe. The barges were built by the same shipyard as the Nordic Bremen. The photo shows this — for a container ship — rather unusual deck cargo.
When the vessel arrives in Europe it will enter into a time charter.
